It is not a good development because these doctors are pushed to produce rather than to do the best for the patients. It doesn't necessarily make them bad doctors but there is no doubt they will be pushed by the hospital to produce.

Certainly so. A good employee is someone who produces, who follows policy, and keeps the bosses happy. He who pays the piper calls the tune - and the doc's paychecks, these days, arrive from the Administration wing.
