"a divergence in the global share #s and the price movement,"

Why do you assume global unit share is supposed to be correlated with Apple's price movement? Surely you agree by now that the vast majority of the smartphone market is irrelevant to Apple's business. They sell iPhones to people who can afford them, and this appears to be a profitable and still growing business. Whether someone in an emerging country buys a cheap android phone, cheap windows phone, a cheap BB, a cheap feature phone, or no phone at all has no bearing whatsoever on Apple's business.

That said, I am kind of surprised at the strength of the current run. I couldn't have been more wrong when I said the March quarter's earnings would have no impact on the stock price (good or bad).
