You forgot to use the modifier: "southern democract" i.e. conservative. and in 1860 the Republican party was the liberal party of the north. Lincoln was a liberal. The south was the Democratic party. Do you really think the south was liberal-lol? But what you cannot seem to grasp is the rich plutocrats are taking advantage of you too. And you help them do it to you. You do not even know who the enemy is? You are cutting off your nose (don't like liberals) to spite your face. The south is the poorest part of the country and needs a social safety net more than any other and yet they vote for the pubs who want to get rid of it. Not very smart of them!
