Inode, I remember this one situation that happened in L.A. where a guy was holed up in a house with his kid, which he recently kidnapped. The SWAT team moved in and took out the guy, but unfortunately they also shot the kid.

Now think about it. Everything would have been OK had the father been allowed to just take his kid away and not be harassed by law enforcement. Of course, the kid and the mother would object, but hey, it's just a family affair and the state should not interfere, right?

Because you know, kidnapping leads to violence because it's illegal. If we only legalized it, kidnapping could be regulated and the violence would die down.
