You could have bought it within the last year at $390 but, you had to understand the company to do it. If it fell to $390 tomorrow, you still don't seem to understand it and wouldn't buy it based on everything you represent. You're the investment analogue of a character in a Samuel Beckett play when it comes to investing.
By the same token, you could have sold AAPL at $700+ a year and a half ago, bought the QQQ, and been way ahead right now. As you're correctly suggesting, it's a matter of timing. If you knew a bit more about how I've done focusing exclusively on tech I understand (which, yes, includes some massive losses along with the good), you'd say otherwise.
