Assholes may end up owning NBA teams but not people who are stupid about investments. His investment is already in shambles because of his behavior. When I was young, I had a girlfriend tell me not to let the ex-hippie girlfriend and “that crowd” come around after she had met the uhh "beautiful people" (well they thought so). I understood it was a jealousy issue not a slam on the group in particular. His emotional comment was based on the threat of young guys hitting on the girl friend but ended up being tied to his financial venture so he has no choice but to sell and get out. The NBA only needed to make a disapproving and regretful statement about what the event has cost the NBA and with regards to the kind of owners they will endorse going forward. Everything else would take its natural course, including a heads up to other owners without sanctioned consequences.

>>“Fine him, force him to sell the team, and move on. If he wants to fight all of this in court and take the Clips down with him, let him.”<<

They are already ruined. The only hope is for him to leave, he knows that without the league doing anything.

I was not suggesting he would sue to remain an owner but to collect financially from the NBA for violating his rights resulting in financial damages. I still bet he sues. What legal standard are they basing their comments and actions on?
