RW, Gov. Moonbeam was actually pretty successful in resolving California's budgetary problems.

Now California is flush with tax funds, thanks in part to Silicon Valley money. Even the IPO of Facebook had California's tax collectors drooling. Now the real estate market here is white hot, which of course will lead to even more tax revenues for Sacramento.

Unfortunately, the middle class continues to get it in the shorts here. The ironic thing about California's propensity to tax the rich is that as the gap between rich and poor grows, so too will California's government.
