John,

I am no lawyer, but the way I read it, MSFT 1) must maintain IE as a seperate entity from w95 and w98, 2) must market it as a seperate product, 3) and cannot make the sale of W95 or W98 contingent upon the pc mfgrs using IE exclusively on those PCs.

What does this mean?

To me it means that NSCP caught some slack, but that MSFT simply continues to take IE to market as a free, seperate product from the operating systems that they also market. Will they continue to win browser share in this fashion? That's the relevant question.
