I know many in the media were spinning that Obamacare was only replacing "inferior" or in your words "unsafe" policies, but that's not so. People who were perfectly happy with the coverage they bought on the private market had their policies cancelled and in many cases replaced with higher premiums and deductibles. In my house analogy, I would have to replace my old yet serviceable and affordable house (no Chinese drywall either) with a new, bigger, more expensive Obama house, because some bureaucrat deemed my little house "inferior".
