I don't think that weighing the results of the ACA will be complicated, either. I didn't think that was the point. My point was about analyzing the myriad components of the way we do health care financing, specifically about not conflating ObamaCare and the shift away from employer-provided coverage.

As for weighing said results, it may not be complicated but will be very difficult if not impossible due to the noise, which makes it hard to isolate the objectives of it from everything else, and insufficient and compromised data to measure it against the objectives, assuming they were clearly identified.

Right now we see some people declaring iObamaCare already a failure because of the bugs in the computer system and others declaring it already a success because X million people signed up. Neither has anything to do with whether or not it meets its objectives but it takes critical thinking to recognize that, and critical thinking is in very short supply.
