>>>Koan: "That would be the maximum sentence, not he only one. Surly didn't think I meant that? That is absurd."

You have not been able to establish any reason for its application, or limitation, except that it is not capital punishment and that it is necessary for public safety.

I have shown you that it fails all tests required of a just determination and that there are no reigns on this course of action. It fails on all counts. It is neither humane, as you claim, nor is it justly resolute.

>>>Koan: "I think our entire justice system is primitive and criminal."

The justice system is a failure because it is subject to corruption, political manipulation, and incompetence. Society is weakened by a system that does not promise resolution and reconciliation for criminal events, and follow through demonstrably.

>>>Koan: "We have more people in prison than any other country because we are so barbaric"

We have more people in prison because people/criminals do not take the justice system serious. Why would they? They would if they believed the justice system was effective at resolving criminal events and reconciling criminal events with society. You, and people like you, are fighting to ensure the justice system is as ineffective as possible, criminals know they are not up against any viable threat from the justice system...ask some.
