I see a lot of contradictions in principle here on SI Steve. Principle based contradiction occurs when individuals willingly sacrifice principle in order to remain in conformity with group loyalties. Each person must consciously consider any particular circumstance in order to remain true to themselves and principles of decency, and when they do, they strengthen their group.

The need to belong is one of the most powerful motivators in humanity, which is good but it can also have its dark side... mainly that it can destroy an individual's ability to think for themselves. Once the majority of the group begins to behave in this way, the founding principles of the group no longer function in guiding individuals. The group begins to exaggerate its claim to power, individuals suffer the illusion of invulnerability, poor decisions and conduct are not challenged for the sake of group harmony, then something very wrong starts happening in the name of the group, and there are no insiders to question it. History of the world.
