I don't recall the announcement of 10 million drives sold as being buried.

I do recall the press release announcing 10 million on Nov 12, pretty big news as I recall coming less than 1 month after the 9 million announcement.

I also recall a full page ad in USA today during Comdex heralding 10 million drives sold...hardly buried.

In fact, I expect if they had much more publlicity, you would be accusing them of hyping instead.
