OT. If we promise not to engage your defense of medallions, would you provide a short version? I have always wondered about it. The rationale is not intuitively obvious, to say the least. I'll do it by PM if you want... I don't think you can "promise" for the thread. I do believe Tim and I went back and forth on this a few years ago on the, go figure, Politics of Energy thread. I figure I won that exchange, but Tim might not agree <g>.
