IMO, MU price movement is directed by the NAZ with the amplitudes of the moves determined by it's very large Beta (1.8) and good quarterly reports. DRAM prices are very hard to see compared to fighting the direction of the NAZ. DRAM price expectations are contained in the responses to quarterly reports. Cramer and his speedy TV analysis explains every move down in MU as 'must be DRAM prices'.
