You do admit weaning ourselves from coal is a desired objective do you not?

No

The US is #1 in coal reserves and #5 in natural gas.

The madness you see going on today by central planning and it's supporters is nothing more than one part of the larger picture of controlling of the American people by limiting their freedoms. If central planning can control the people, the game is over.

I'd be for rebuilding the railroads and returning to steam engines using coal or natural gas. THAT would go a long way in improving our road system that is falling apart, since the federal and state governments are spending fuel tax monies on buying votes instead of transportation maintenance. And it would even meet one of the demands of the left in reducing our dependence on foreign oil, though that's the last thing they want to see as it would increase America's freedoms.

People reminisce about the good old days of America, they are gone because of our recent race towards communism.

Tell you what, the day when you have the world outside the US meet our current pollution standards, I'll be all for you pushing to improve the standards.
