RE: <why IBM likes AMD K6> This partly has to do with fear of the Intel monopoly overpowering the server/mainframe business from which IBM still derives a substantial chunk of their revenues. Also, IBM derives royalties from the K6 even if AMD packages them, but no such relationship exists with Intel. Petz
