Not wanting to contribute in taxes monies that will be redistributed to the people who are "suck(ing) it for all it's worth" is something else again. They are two different sets of people, those who are doing the sucking and those who don't want to put up the funds for those who are.

Lane, 90% of success is an accident of birth; where, when and to whom. That's pretty much been proven now, "There but by the grace of God go I" is not just an idle. Yes a few do overcome but to a person they give credit to the luck of meeting an outside influence that changed their path. You, and I were lucky enough to be born in the right place at the right time to the right people. Others, not so lucky, they didn't stand a chance.

Now you can argue that we should dramatically cut spending. That we should throw all "those bums" out on the street and revert back to the 1800's social codes. That's a public argument we can have, that's justified.

Where I can't see having an argument is if we should pay the bills for money that our representatives have spent. The only reason those notes that you're so worried about "redistributing" are worth anything at all is the full faith and credit of the US government.

So yes fight like hell if you're so worried that a few of your notes might fall into the hands of someone who would be homeless otherwise. But don't try to "starve the beast" because the beast is the only reason your wealth is worth anything, and you're damned lucky to have this particular beast.

You'll likely lose the fight BTW because the majority of us realize that it's all serendipity, and "there but by the grace of God go I".
