To All: I got a phone call today from a guy saying he represented Microsoft and they had detected a problem with my computer. I wasn't aware Microsoft monitored my computer. I knew the NSA did but not MSFT. He did have an Indian accent and MSFT does outsource so I figured he was telling the truth. But anyway he said they needed to do some tests. I was game for this but unfortunately he had caught me at a bad moment. I told him he was right and my computer was starting really slowly. So I would start it right up but it was going to take some time to get on line. I was not exactly honest about the computer start up speed, I really wanted check my portfolio on line first. So I asked him to hold. This took somewhat over five minutes and got back to the phone and said I was ready but then I had a phone call on my cell phone. It really wasn't a phone call, it was a call of nature but that is close enough to my mind. I didn't want to be crass after all. This guy is a hard working computer tech and from another country I didn't want to offend him.
When I got back I was ready to go but my friend showed up and rang my doorbell. He really hadn't but I apologized and said "Just give me a sec I have to get the door." I wanted to check my bird feeder to see if the birds were using it. Well, you can't just take a quick look at a bird feeder, you have to give them some time to make sure one way or another. When I got back he had hung up!! What a rude son of a bitch! I had only taken twenty minutes before I had left to check the birds. And the bird feeder only took up fifteen minutes.
Microsoft has never had great service. But really, this is too much. The least the guy could do is show some patience. I didn't call them after all, I was spending my time working with them.
If he ever calls again I think I will take a different approach. After all this guy is being outsourced because it is cheap to use him. So I was take some time to explain he is being used and tell him I invest in the American stock market and I can offer him a chance to make some real money. All he has to do is send me his credit card number.
