I thought a 5th was a fifth of a gallon

That means 128oz/5 is 25.6oz/5th

So 7 airplane bottles at 1.7 oz/bottle

7 x 1.7 is 11.9oz or 12 oz for friendly talk.

12oz is about 1/10 a gallon

So rather than a 20th, I guess he got a 10th.....
