Martin, I was looking into the Alberta Energy Corp for this reason. I don't feel comfortable enough to know what to do on that. All I know is that AEC-TSE (AOG on New York) has a low P/E and has been sliding...guess oil prices matter to people <g>. But I don't see the diamonds being factored into the price at all, and didn't they recently announce a huge increase in reserves (with no corresponding increase in stock price, actually a decline?)?

Wonder what gives...I suspect if earnings continue good, oil price goes up, AND Ashton play really starts to look good, this AEC could be the darling of 1998...but that's a lot of what if's.

Interestingly as well I stumbled across this AEC Pipelines limited partnership. It has a 6% yield and looks very interesting, just a side note, wonder if anyone has any views on that.

Since we all have limited funds to play these diamond stocks (at least I do) I have a devil of a time deciding whether to get exposure through PUG, AEC, or ACA. My worry is that AEC wouldn't be a pure enough play on this but perhaps it is actually the safest and best bet.
