Once again you're invited to look at Wiki's list of "artifacts significant to the Bible" and note the total void of anything significant from 600BC on down to 100BC. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_artifacts_significant_to_the_Bible The question was very simple, why such a void for 500yrs, with any real historical record keeping going on? Certainly these old scribes had plenty to write about, to look up and even notice Alexander the Macedonian conquering most of the known world in the 4th century? Conquering their own lands, the Egyptians & defeating the Persians? One would would think that would be a very llong list of significant events to record, this God was just not that interested in Alexander the Great, even when it involved the most dramatic shifts of power in the region for 250yrs? Not very good record keeping at all, then we find hardly any other real significant finds except for some meagre scrolls in caves that date not that far back to 2nd century is all. One would have just hoped for & thought there would be fantastic treasure troves of old finds but alas, there are none.
