5/9/14 Contest update
Contest portfolios were hammered lower for another week, with the Contest median closing Friday down -6.24% YTD (vs. down -1.35% YTD a week ago). Oy vey! The Nasdaq Biotech Index fell back into the red, although by a smidgen, closing down -.23% YTD (vs. up .98% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Composite Index closed down -2.51% YTD (vs. down -1.26% YTD a week ago).
ROCKY’s portfolio, up 23.87% YTD, held on to the Contest lead, with WATCHIT’s portfolio, up 20.45% YTD, riding into second place on the back of CHTP and GUERL’s portfolio, up 19.97% YTD, slipping to third place.
At Friday's close, a mere 12 of the 46 Contest portfolios were in the black, while 12 of the 46 were also beating the NBI. The median Contest portfolio stock (CPRX) is down -11.28% YTD.
