Thanks I didn't know about the FEYE share release, I'm assuming options for employees right?

Great. Thanks. That confirms my chicken shit strategy for this year "Sell in May and go away..."

I think you are right about your other concerns pretty much.

I cannot see the genetics business getting anything but gigantic, and ILMN seems to be the Microsoft of gene reading machines.

One reason I like PRLB is that it IS flying under the radar. What they do is fast turn around, short run productions, mostly Computer Aided machining, but they are investing heavily in the opposite additive techology, high end 3D printing.

So if you need only a few prototypes for testing or you want to test the market PRLB is the go to ONLINE company.

They also make easy to use software. They've beat on their quarterlies many many times. They had one quarter where they didn't but I think that was due to buying machines and expanding. They've also bought at least one other company in their business.

Everyone is concentrating on how designers and the public are going to use 3D in the home, but once you have a design its damn hard to get a prototype made economically. Damn hard. And Chinese manufacturers aren't going to make anything less than container sized orders.
