Donald Duck/Uncle Scrooge comics, MAD Magazine, science and religion can all cohabit the world, though not if one of the religions is the totalitarian Islamic variation of superstition which holds that all should be subjugated, like it or not. <Some people understand science and religion can co-exist.> The Christian outlook is one of free will where people have to CHOOSE to sign up, though it was quite a compulsory thing during my younger days when courts and other authorities acted to enforce biblical genuflection.

Maybe they are planning a takeover of Global Alarmism since they see its popularity as a new-fangled religion. If they develop a catechism for it, a liturgy and a few prayers, they might be able to boost numbers and keep the tithes pouring in. They could sell "Carbon Credits" aka "Indulgences" and have confessionals each Sunday regarding any carbon emissions during the week. It's certainly a booming market.
