Wharfie, of course science is not religion. But people like to wear the cloak of science when they are just being religionists. Michael Mann with his Mann Made Warming hockey stick for example.

The old lab coat advertisements are an example. TV advertisers would put somebody in a lab coat then spout some "scientific" cock and bull story.

The reason science is getting a bad name is because of so-called "scientists" like Michael Mann. They don't know what Popper, Einstein and Feyman said about science and data. Maybe they do, but they hope they can get away without that falsifiability, including all data and it takes only one person to prove a theory wrong thinking. In Global Alarmist "settled science", no falsifiability is required, data is excluded using "tricks" and they vote on things. "98% of the selected scientists we polled can't be wrong".

That's not science Wharfie. The Vatican's mergers and acquisitions department could boost market capitalisation by umpty $billion by a takeover of Global Alarmism.

Mann, Jones and Hansen bear the same relationship to Einstein, Feynman and Popper as a naughty weekend with a prostitute does to marriage and family.
