Well, I couldn't disagree more with this sentiment. I can see some problems with the year end wrap up but I also think that GT has enough going for it this XMAS to make for a respectable quarter. Besides, it's no surprise that this XMAS season is better than last years so all a retail product has to do is stand in front of the scattergun. I disagree with the first half of the year analysis. Duke Forever will most likely ship in the first half of the year. I think it far from hype to say that it will be a smash hit. If nothing else, people would buy it on curiosity alone. I checked the Kali boards last night. Duke has surprisingly overtaken Diablo as the #1 game for the most part. Diablo shows up a close second, Quake is doing very well finally and the TA chat rooms are fired up. I have to d/l the latest Kali version to check into the game quantities and will do so soon. My feeling is that flagging sales of many of GT's properties could easily be propped up with DNF sales. I guess Piper and Volpe know more than I do but I don't see a gloom and doom ('scuse the pun) scenario.
