Hi Eric; Re: "The helicopters are over forty years old. They need to be replaced.";

The rest of the world does just fine without billion dollar presidential helicopters. You can read more about the various aircraft used by world heads of state at the wikipedia page here:
en.wikipedia.org

You will notice that none of the above aircraft is a design used for a single purpose. For example, Russia gets along with a Mil Mi-8. It is "among the world's most-produced helicopters, [1] used by over 50 countries". That's what you want, a standard piece of equipment. In addition to being 50x cheaper, mass produced aircraft tend to be more reliable, cheaper to repair and safer. You can see that all of China's VIP aircraft are standard makes. The United Kingdom uses standard helicopters to move around politicians and royalty, the Agusta A109 and the queen flies a Sikorsky S-76. These are standard utility helicopters. An August costs $6.4 million and the S-76 is under $10 million. The designs came out in the 1970s, LOL. If you knew anything about aircraft you'd know that a 40 year-old design is not necessarily a problem. Designs are improved with time.

At least 99% of the billion dollars is wasted money. I've little doubt it was voted on as a pork project in return for some combination of campaign donations and jobs in some congressman's district. We can't afford this kind of crap.

For example, a simple UH-60 Blackhawk costs $22 million. It carries 11 soldiers and equipment. Surely the President doesn't need more luggage than that?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! LOL!!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

I mean really, you should tell us who taught you to debate so we can hold them up to ridicule!
