You are quite right about putting together a CPU,

and that's precisely why AMD isn't going away in this industry cycle. It has the comparable CPU to INTC. Therefore it will be bought out or merged rather rather than allowed to go broke.

And frankly I am against monopoly practices. I would like to see at least three American CPU companies in the mass market. How would ou like to buy every car from GM and then only Chevy's priced like Cadillacs?
