You are wrong about SS. God forbid you ever design any social programs.

There is no problem with SS. It is solvent and all they have to do is lift the cap on SS and it is good for another 75 years. That is plenty of time to make any other fixes.

And over the last many decades SS has saved millions and millions of old people from living in abject poverty and it is a must. Something like half the people in the country live almost exclusively on their SS.

And in any event we must have SS and medicare and we must make them both work. We can do that. Well we dems can, the pubs cannot because they won't even try.

They live in some fantasy world where we don't need those things.

Please tell me how you explain to a young person how they will work their entire lives paying into Social Security only to see the trust be empty when it is time for them to retire. Please explain this. You have admitted there will be no money when they reach 75. So what would you say to those people who spent their entire lives saving for YOUR retirement?

And if you cannot respond in good faith, don't bother, but don't continue lying about "learning".
