Of course not. I'm in academia, in physics. But that doesn't matter. What matters is logic. You're drifting into attacking the messenger instead of the message again.

And by the way, Scientific American is not a peer reviewed journal. As an aside, it's also famously left wing. A lot of my scientist friends dropped their subscriptions years ago due to this.

And the "public health lawyer" you're quoting is neither a scientist nor unbiased, LOL.
