Today's election results spells the death of dynasty rule in India. It will be difficult for Rahul Gandhi to comeback as the leader of his party.

The incoming leader, probably Narendra Modi will be PM, has raised very high expectations. The women came out to vote in large numbers it seems because of the failure of the outgoing Govt. to protect them from rapes etc. The youth came out in large numbers also since unemployment is a big issue. This is the first time India is experiencing a landslide of such big proportions.

It remains to be seen if India would have a leader of the opposition since the minimum number of seats required for an opposition party is 60 and the Cong does not even have that many seats yet.
