No, except Japan. S Korea corporations have $100 bil due in 1988 alone.

The points I have made have many days ago (posted on QNTM thread) appeared in an article in today's WSJ, posted on QNTM thread. The author talks only about SEG.

<< Some speculate about the possibility of a rate cut by the Fed to beat up the dollar...

The FED is already doing this effectively via infusion of liquidity.

Whether or not NOW is time to buy DD stocks is a matter of judgement. One should look at the WSJ article. SEG was firm today as a result of the article (?), despite a weakness in tech-stocks. QNTM is the best bet, IMO, because of strong cushion from DLT, while DDs recover.

<< Time to short DELL and GTW. No way are those guys going to maintain 40% growth.

It is projected that China and India will witness the explosive growth in PCs. Shorting may be risky. But buying these is not prudent, IMO.

True, money is fleeing tech stocks out of fear and new buyers are seeking bargain prices -- an over-supply situation like that for chips and DDs. <g>
