It can't be overstated how critical this advantage is for many (not all) Android users. My screen and pretty much everyone I work with is similar in that it has been tweaked to make not launching apps, but life itself, much easier.


It cant be overstated how much you and your coworkers are not the standard Android user.

The average user (much less all) has trouble customizing the PC that they have been using for 15 users much less their handset. There is a segment of the population that customizing serves, and I think it makes little sense to ignore this customer base, but it isnt anywhere near the average user.
