Sultan: Thats what I did with MACR $10 before buying MCRE $12.5 which I then sold to buy ADBE $35. All the way down was tax losses ! However, luckily I had nice earlier '97 cashed in profits. There was no way I was going to pay taxes on profits when I could use those profits to offset losses. If I didn't take my losses I'd be paying lots of taxs and sitting with significant paper losses. Instead, today got in ADBE $35 and my tax liability was decreased to boot. I'd rather ride ADBE back to health than MACR or MCRE. Besides, if MCRE or MACR recover ADBE could likely join the ride anyway.

BTW: I sold some MACR May15 puts and I hope by then she recovers !
