evan: Just curious, ever write covered calls on your ADBE stock ? For example, the Dec35 is selling for around $ 1 5/8 th and it expires in 5 days. Of course you might get called away this Friday but heck you coould buy back in as the Asian turmoil could spell erratic trading with a capital "E". Regarding "wash sales" isn't the loss usuable as a means to adjust down basis cost any subsequent re-purchase of ADBE within 30 days ? BTW, looks like ADBE has held up well (?) compared to MCRE and MACR.
