In my early posts here, I pointed out that it is inevitable that when the practice of the fraud is exposed, the consequences of practicing fraud aren't riskless... including for those who knowingly acquiesce, or merely succumb to the peer pressure, or enable others frauds as passive "participants"...
There is and should be a significant liability associated with the practice of fraud...
In his latest, Mark Stein points out "As you can possibly tell, I'm itching to get Dr Mann into court, and mulling over ways that that might be accelerated."
I agree with you that "Dealing with cultists never converts them to rationality. Only reality will do that, or being abandoned by their cult leaders who give up as the cash flow dries up as fewer converts sign up and their numbers dwindle".
The fraud being practiced has been thoroughly exposed... and, that FACT can't be undone... but, that fact can be pinned down in the proper correlation of logic with its subordinate offspring in law.
Fraud is illegal... and, in the process of practicing fraud... it is inevitable that other laws are broken...
That leaves an issue or two that we still have to consider... in how fraudsters that prey on the public trust (and those who seek to enable them) should be treated... once their fraud is exposed.
Reality is... they will NEVER surrender in their quest until proper adherence to reason is forced on them.
I contend that having exposed the fraud and even having prevented (?) the ultimate success of the POLICY that the fraudsters (STILL) intended to inflict on us... (this has always been about politics first, and using the fraud practiced under the banner of "science" to justify a political view) still leaves an unmet obligation to address and unwind that fraud which reaches well beyond "nothing NEW to see here, move along"...
The cost of climate fraud to society has been ENORMOUS, already... the ongoing cost, the ongoing impact, is not going to be unwound ONLY by the failure of their arguments... as policy being advanced and the (failed) rationale they intended would be enabling it are different things.
The left will continue to feign that nothing has changed... as "that's my story and I'm sticking to it" is the only option they have... and, they will continue, if and as they can, to try to implement the policy the fraud was intended to enable. They've intended the fraud to make it easier to impose the policy they want... and fabricated the "science" to justify that... but, make no mistake, they will still intend to force the result they intend, with or without the success of the climate science fraud enabling them...
Having lost the argument... doesn't mean the left won't just continue using their own acceptance of the fraud to IMPLEMENT policy change based on their fraud ? That's what Obama is doing, now ?
Winning the debate... doesn't ever mean that those who've lost the debate because they've been caught practicing fraud... will suddenly be converted into men we can trust ?
The fraudsters... never were, and are not now, acting in good faith...
We shouldn't pretend that they ever were, that they are... or will ever be worthy of trust.
The tumorous growth being exposed, reveals that there is a source in a metastasizing cancer in society that needs to be removed...
Yes, the left wing political hijacking of "science" proves that the fraudsters are purposeful sociopaths.
But, that's not ALL that it proves... ? There's a lot MORE that's been broken in the process of forcing this fraud through the system.... than is seen if all that you note it as now is "an argument lost"...
