All the way back to feudal lords and tribal witchdoctors they felt the need to create boogeymen from whom they would be protected by paying more taxes. Seems now we have even gone back to the weather gods. Must sacrifice to appease them. I suppose more taxes are better than being tossed in a volcano or having your heart cut out. The liberals have no clue how they have been manipulated into serfdom.
