You can be driving (which your phone will notice), and without needing to touch your phone, wake it (it will recognize your voice) by saying "Ok Google", then ask it where a good nearby sushi restaurant is, ask about reviews, and then ask it to navigate. Then request it to play some music from your favorite artist, take calls and listen to incoming calls, all while it navigates with extremely accurate directions/satellite images/street view. All by voice. I still feel like I'm living in a sci-fi movie.
The always listening part of the MotoX doesn't really impress me (I have a Bluetooth button on my steering wheel). Other than that, Siri can do all these things also, as I'm sure you are aware.
I actually discovered a new trick yesterday-- "Siri, find my wife." Actually that one makes me nervous-- it's a pretty troubling lock screen vulnerability. Probably disabling all voice commands from the lock screen is a good idea for the concerned. |
