A purchase of shares is either a new long position or the closing out of a short position. In either case, I believe it to be a bullish sign.

Thanks for all the block trade posts. Very interesting stuff.
Here's a proposed explanation: rather than some ASND acquirer,
isn't it equally plausible that some institution(s) are merely
taking stakes in ASND in an efficient manner? That is, they buy
up blocks on any weakness in ASND at current levels. Once softness
in trading is observed, sure go ahead and buy the block at the ask,
since, you're getting in at a lower price anyway.
