I enjoy your comments and yes, it's beneficial to look at the whole picture..

both positive and negative. Most threads are overly positive.

When I said this..

<<I think the main point is the bad news was out before anyone could react - typical.>>

I meant news like earnings downgrade before or after the bell etc.. not the long term news etc.. You know, you turn on the computer in the morning and find that your stock is about to open 5 points lower and there's nothing you can do. :-)

I'm not that concerned about the whole tech picture. I live in Hawaii were it's beautiful 330 days of the year and I have rose colored glasses on. :-)

By the way, news from Micron says that their whole line is moving to .25 microns. DRAM manufactures are now producing below cost. Prices have fallen DRASTICALLY in the last week. Reports say they might as well just turn everything off and go home.

Even with the recent earnings downgrade for AMAT from $2.15 to $2.00 today... their stock is for sale for $26 a share. $2.00 x 20p/e = a $40 price tag. I don't have a problem stepping into smoke or catching a falling knife. I know that eventually everything works out and we all live happily ever after.

Again, I enjoy your comments and hope you can continue to share your expertise with us.

Merry Christmassssssss!

Aloha
