anyone who gives up their youth(at least 10 yrs) to study and work to become a doctor does it not for the money but for the innate drive to help humanity as an esteemed member of the heath profession.
Take away the money and you'll see far fewer qualified students entering med school.

Time to give up this pollyannish notion that doctors are oh-so-altruistic.
