The House has passed some 40 jobs bills that are stuck on Harry Reid's desk.

Reid has totally poisoned the well for the duration of Obama's term. Nothing is going to get done because he has refused to bring ANYTHING to the Senate floor for a vote. It is pure obstructionism, plain and simple.

It would be pretty improbable at this point for any meaningful legislation to clear both the House and Senate, because Reid will not allow amendments to anything that comes to the floor. Just contrast Reid's Senate with, e.g., that of Bob Dole. Even Dashcle was not in the same league with this fool. History will reflect that Reid's mishandling of the Senate was Obama's greatest single downfall, IMO.
