It's not hard to move a stock or an index on low volume and when co ordinated.

It's what I often say STRATEGIES, TACTICS AND MECHANICS.

Whether the VIX, SPX, or IBM..once best have an understanding IF they are LONG TERM INVESTORS.

OR find themselves buying DEC at 200 and watching it be sold to COMPQ a few years later in the low digits.

What will be interesting is to see what happens when many run to get out of that standard door.
