Brumar, I can't stand reading Maureen Dowd, even on non-political subject matter.

The way she writes is with overly grandiose language, as if she constantly needs to remind her audience just how smart and intellectually superior she supposedly is. Arrogance oozes out of her writing like the smell of an insecure woman who completely douses herself with perfume. You can see it in her analogies and verbal illustrations, as if she wants to show off how her "culture."

It's no wonder she impresses simpletons like Koan, who is drawn to such displays of faux intellect yet can't fathom how shallow it really is.

I on the other hand prefer those who can take complex subjects and eloquently describes them. The grandiose language should only be used for a select crowd, not the masses like the audience of a newspaper column.
