Petz , re SOX index I have charts on about 14 chip makers , nearly all of them are close to matching 1994 stock prices . However on the Nasdaq index it seems to have another 200 points possibly on the downside , somewhere in the 1350 area to take it to the bottom trendline . Of course it may also be moving up to a higher trendline about the only justification would be lower interest rates and not increased profit potential. On that subject did you notice the comments on Intel in this BW article (courtesy Jim) businessweek.com Two analysts rate Intel's growth next year at 7.6% and 11% earnings regards , Brian PS That is something many of us were anticipating due to increased competition but it could affect tech stocks in general .
