It needs a very mature electorate like the one in India who recently overwhelmingly voted for a single party. The people have to be fed up enough to do so as the Indians did. Why would you want to vote for a Democratic President and then not give her/him the Congress he/she wants to get things done?

The scenario you are suggesting requires politicians to be of a very high moral and caliber. They have to be able to put the country before the party and the DC politicians today do not have that caliber.

Besides, I read today that the GOP has already embarked on bringing forward personal attacks on HIllary. So you think these politicians in the Congress hailing from a party that run a vilified campaign would be gracious enough to concede and work with a President Hillary?
