In this video below, the system does not need positioning or MEMS sensors, but instead uses image recognition to trigger the augmented reality video stream.

However, with GPS and MEMS sensors, the triggering mechanism could use the current location to help with the recognition, say for example, identifying the real Eiffel Tower and then providing background information. From this point the system could use the changing orientation of the phone to show other points of interest in the area.

Going beyond previous augmented reality, their "auras" can do everything from making a painting talk to overlaying live news onto a printed newspaper.
