Well, there's this little problem that our hallowed founders, in their wisdom, either didn't make it clear enough that only militias get to own firearms or really intended all Americans could own them. Which wouldn't have been a problem in those times, since the founders were talking about single shot, muzzle loading weapons.
At the time, many people had good reasons for owning firearms, many hunted, needed to kill or chase off indians, etc.
But, it's right there in our constitution, the Supremes have ruled, and it's THE LAW OF THE LAND.
So, that 20% has and will continue to prevail. It's your right as an American to leave your bunker, get your guns and go kill people when you've taken all that you can take. |
