False statement: >>"There is no fundamental need for self protection, ..."
Check out number two from your link on Maslow's hierarchy. The hierarchy was not meant to be thought of as a stair case. All the needs remain important even though those on a lower level are being met. In addition when any of the items are threatened people do what they can to protect the threatened entity, otherwise level 5 is not realizable.
The original hierarchy of needs five-stage model includes: 1. Biological and Physiological needs - air, food, drink, shelter, warmth, sex, sleep.
2. Safety needs - protection from elements, security, order, law, limits, stability, freedom from fear.
3. Social Needs - belongingness, affection and love, - from work group, family, friends, romantic relationships.
4. Esteem needs - achievement, mastery, independence, status, dominance, prestige, self-respect, respect from others.
5. Self-Actualization needs - realizing personal potential, self-fulfillment, seeking personal growth and peak experiences.
False statement #2:>>"Unfortunately in the minds of people like you, that requires guns....."
I've already told you more than once, I don't have guns or even one gun. |
